'Tis the year of Brooklyn Group shows! This time at Parker's Box, on Grand Street in Williamsburg. This show is titled "NotAbstract 1", and aslo features the work of Damien Cabanes, Now Charuvi, Ted Gahl, and Stefan Sehler. Stop by for the opening this Friday, November 6th, but if you can't make it, the show will be up until December 20th.
Also, I was remiss in mentioning a very fine, albeit short, exhibition entitled "LEAVE NO TRACE: Ridges, Trough, and Phantom Limbs", curated by Maggie Liu Clinton of Miguel Abreu Gallery. The show was at ISCP in October, as part of the Picture Parlor series.

I am very excited that my work is now part of the permanent collection of the Musuem of Contemporary Art, Chicago, and is also included in "Constellations: Painting from the MCA Collection."
Also, new work is included with many other awesome painters in an upcoming show titled "Oscillate Wildly" at Vaudeville Park, in Brooklyn. The show opens September 18th, more information to come...

I am extrememly excited to be part of Greynbow, (perhaps the best title for a show ever!) at Horse Trader Gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Curated Vince Como, this inaugral show also features the work of Bob Jones, and Branden Koch. And if that wasn't enough to get you out, the very talented Mr. Woody Sullender will perform at the opening as well.

Artadia in Residence, Inagural Participant, Summer 2009. The wonderful and generous people at Artadia have selected me to be one of the inaugural artists in residence at the ISCP program this summer. Hello, Bushwick!
Painting the Glass House, curated by Jessica Hough and Mónica Ramírez-Montagut opens at Mills College. This show explores the relationships that artists have forged with the philosophy and idealism that Modernist architcture has come to represent. It features Angela Dufresne, Enoc Perez, Russel Nachman, David Claerbout, and yours truly, amongst others. The curators have produced a handsome catalog that expands concept of the show to include several more artists, as well as thoughtful essays. It's available here...
